Bronze head-shaped vessel with removable lid and a single snake-shaped handle. The lid, with a seated figure. The single spout is shaped like a stylized bird-like animal with scales, with an animal surmounted on the top of its head.

Bronze Asian two-piece animal shaped vessel, from the Yuan Dynasty, with two animals on the head and mouth. Its back with a removable lid, the small bird on the lid serving as the handle. The surface of the piece is adorned with raised geometric designs.

Asian hollow bronze statue of two Happy Buddhas seated side by side with their arms around each other. Pu-Tai known as “Happy Buddha” was known for his continuous smiling face and protruding stomach.
Pu-tai represents happiness, generosity and wealth, and he is a protector of children as well as of the poor and the weak. Today a statue of Pu-tai often can be found near the entrance of Chinese Buddhist temples. The tradition of rubbing Pu-tai’s belly for good luck is a folk practice, however, not a Buddhist teaching.

Asian hollow bronze candlestick holder with a kneeling figure resting on top of a tortoise with a dragon’s head. Dragons and Tortoise are two out of the four celestial animals of Chinese mythology, the other two being the Vermilion Bird and the White Tiger. Dragons are known to represent power, strength and luck while the tortoise represents immortality or long life. Combining the qualities of both animals serves as a potent symbol of success and longevity. 1300’s AD
