Ancient Egypt. Faience Eye of Horus amulet, an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection and good health, one of the most common amulets worn in Ancient Egypt, with painted black lines and covered in green glaze. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty.
Ancient Egypt. Cartonnage fragment with two human headed falcons. 20th Dynasty. Ba, is usually represented in the form of a human-headed falcon. The ‘Ba’ is an aspect of the individual that the Egyptians believed would live after the body died. The part that will fly away to rejoin the spirit, Ka, for continued existence in the afterlife.
